Sophon hosts excerpts and metadata of third-party research artefacts under the policy described in our content policy. If you believe specific content is hosted in error or should be re-tiered, contact us and we will respond within 72 hours.
How to request a takedown
Send an email to support@sophon.at including:
- The URL(s) of the affected page(s) on Sophon.
- Your relationship to the content (author, rights-holder, agent).
- What you want done - full takedown, abstract-only fallback, or license re-classification.
- For DMCA notices: a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights-holder.
What happens next
- We acknowledge receipt within 24 hours.
- Affected content is hidden behind a placeholder while we review.
- We respond with a decision within 72 hours of acknowledgement.
- If we remove or re-tier content, the change applies to all of our caches, search indexes, and public APIs.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed in error, send a counter-notice to support@sophon.at including the original URL, your contact info, and a statement of good-faith belief that the removal was a mistake.
Repeat-infringer policy
We track takedown notices by ingestion source. Sources with repeat issues are downgraded to link-out only - metadata only, no caches, no extracted content.
