The package exposes ZeTaskset and ZeEnv. Local eval uses the null harness and explicit subprocess runtime. Use --no-push for local evaluation. A Hub publish is a separate action.

Remote mode uses ZE_ENVIRONMENT_TOKEN in the worker environment; credentials are never bundled.

Task and deterministic grader

Find a route from S to G on the visible 5x5 board; # marks walls. Submit one string of 1 to 24 uppercase moves: U=up, D=down, L=left, R=right. The simulator stops at the first goal or collision.

GridEnvironment.score is the owner-declared binary grader: success=1 when the route reaches G before a collision; failure=0 for a collision, incomplete route, empty answer, invalid character, or answer longer than 24 moves. Whitespace and lowercase moves are invalid. A longer valid route can succeed; shortest-route optimality is not required. The grader replays the submitted moves against the board, without an LLM judge.

No reward shaping is configured. The environment return is binary. The shortest path length and executed move count are metrics only.

Limits: 1 environment step per episode, 60 seconds per episode, CPU only.

Public cases and qualification

This package contains 1024 training and 128 development cases. Frozen held-out and operational case records, the inventory generator and its global seed are omitted. Public per-case reset seeds remain in the manifest; these omissions are not a claim of cryptographic secrecy or perpetual held-out status.

A working simulator or published package does not establish learning gain or platform qualification. Those claims require separate operational and frozen evaluation evidence. No model weights, training receipts or learning qualification are bundled.

License

The distributed GridPlan runtime, public cases and standalone bridge are Apache-2.0 under the scoped LICENSE and NOTICE. Other Ze/Zerg code, private inventories and hosted services are outside this grant.
